Kathmandu - Sri Lanka defeated Oman by 10 wickets in ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers.
Sri Lanka chased down the modest target of 99 runs given by Oman in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in the 15th over without losing any wicket.
For him, Dimuth Karunaratne scored 61 runs and Pathun Nisanka scored 37 runs. Oman, who lost the toss and were invited to bat first, were bowled out for 98 runs in 2 balls from 30 overs.
Apart from Ayaan Khan scoring 41 runs, Jitender Singh scoring 21 runs and Fayaz Butt scoring 13 runs, no one else could score runs in double figures.

Kathmandu: Nepal has lost 3-0 to Jordan in the Group B match of the 2022 World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers. Fashion Saif Baha scored two goals and Yazan Alabab scored one goal for Jordan in the match played at Kuwait's Jaber Al Ahmed International Stadium.
Earlier, Nepal was confident of defeating Chinese Taipei 2-0 but could not score against Jordan.
Faisal scored for Jordan in the 24th and 49th minutes of the match. He scored the first goal on a penalty. Faisal scored on a penalty after Rohit Chand fouled an opposition player. Goalkeeper Kiran, who is also the captain of Nepal, could not save the goal even though he judged the penalty correctly. In the first half, Nepal's captain Kiran made some good saves but Jordan could not increase the goal difference.
Similarly, Faisal doubled Jordan's lead by scoring his second individual goal through a free kick. Then, in the 67th minute, Yajan scored the third goal for Jordan through a header.

KATHMANDU: Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers last night. Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in a match played at the Jaber Al Ahmed International Ground in Kuwait. Anjan Bista scored from the penalty spot in the fourth minute of the match for Nepal.
Nepal was awarded a penalty after a Taipei player touched the ball with his hand. Another goal was scored by Navayug Shrestha in the 81st minute. New Age entered the field in the 69th minute as a changed player. With yesterday's victory, Nepal has managed to defeat Chinese Taipei in both the games of the World Cup qualifiers. Earlier, Nepal had lost 2-0 at home.
Even though Nepal has 6 points in the table, the possibility of playing in the World Cup qualifiers is almost over. But the possibility of entering the third round of the Asian Cup selection remains. Similarly, Chinese Taipei is scoreless. Nepal is in Group B and Australia is at the top with 15 points in 5 games. Nepal is playing against Jordan next Monday and Australia on the 28th.
