Kathmandu: West Indies and Scotland are playing in Super Six as part of ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers. The game will start at 1.50 pm according to Nepali time in Harare, Zimbabwe.

West Indies are two-time ODI and T20 World Cup champions. But there is a high possibility that West Indies will not reach the World Cup for the first time in their cricket history. 

The World Cup journey became very difficult after West Indies lost to the Netherlands in the last match of the group stage in the Super Over.

West Indies defeated Nepal and America in the group stage and lost to Zimbabwe and Netherlands. West Indies also found it difficult to reach the World Cup as both the teams defeated by West Indies, Nepal and America, failed to reach the Super Six. 

West Indies won the first two editions of the World Cup, which began in 1975. West Indies won the T20 World Cup title in 2012 and 2016.

Sri Lanka moved closer to the World Cup after defeating the Netherlands in yesterday's match. In the Super Six, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe are at the top and second position with 6 points from 3 matches.

 Zimbabwe is in second position due to net run rate. There is a high possibility that Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will qualify for the World Cup to be held in India in October-November.

Kathmandu - Nepal has defeated Pakistan in the 14th edition of SAFF Championship football.

Nepal defeated Pakistan by 1-0 in the match held on Tuesday in Bengaluru, India. Nepal's Ashish Chaudhary scored in the 80th minute. 

Despite winning today, Nepal has been eliminated from the group stage after losing both the previous matches. Pakistan is also out of the competition. Former runners-up Nepal lost to Kuwait in the first match and India in the second match.

From group 'A', Kuwait is on top and India is on second place and has reached the semi-finals. The group winners and runners-up will be decided after today's match between Kuwait and India.

Kathmandu: Sri Lanka has managed to beat Scotland by 246 runs in the selection of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 in Zimbabwe.

Sri Lanka lost all their wickets to give Scotland a target of 246 in the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifying match at the Queen's Support Club ground in Zimbabwe.

For Sri Lanka, Aslanka scored 63 in 65 balls, Sadhira scored 23 runs in 31 balls and Hasaranga scored 15 runs in 12 balls.

Similarly, Cheris Braves managed to take 4 wickets, Mark Watt 3 and Cherry Soul 2 wickets for Scotland.

The match between Nepal and the Netherlands will start at 1:50 PM Nepali time at the Takasinga Sports Club in Zimbabwe.

Nepal is under pressure to beat the Netherlands today to reach Super Six from Group A. If Nepal is defeated, it will be eliminated.

Kathmandu - Sri Lanka defeated Oman by 10 wickets in ICC ODI World Cup Qualifiers.

Sri Lanka chased down the modest target of 99 runs given by Oman in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe in the 15th over without losing any wicket. 

For him, Dimuth Karunaratne scored 61 runs and Pathun Nisanka scored 37 runs. Oman, who lost the toss and were invited to bat first, were bowled out for 98 runs in 2 balls from 30 overs. 

Apart from Ayaan Khan scoring 41 runs, Jitender Singh scoring 21 runs and Fayaz Butt scoring 13 runs, no one else could score runs in double figures.

Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran of West Indies have scored centuries in the ICC World Cup cricket selection match against Nepal.

Kathmandu: Nepal suffered its third consecutive defeat in the practice match before the ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers. This is Nepal's third consecutive loss in the practice match after losing to UAE by 3 wickets.

The target of 277 runs given by Nepal was found by UAE by losing 7 wickets in 5 balls in 49 overs. After winning the toss and batting first, Nepal scored 276 runs in 5 balls after winning the toss in yesterday's match in Harare, Zimbabwe. Kathmandu - Nepali national cricket team players Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airi are going to play the Global T20 in Canada.

In last night's player draft, Sandeep was signed by Sure Jacquard and Dipendra was signed by Montreal Tigers. Alex Hales, Linton Kumar Das and other players are there along with Sandeep in Surrey. Dipendra is affiliated with Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell and others in Montreal.

Sandeep has played in the previous two seasons of the Global T20 League. Dipendra is the third Nepali player to play Global T20. 

Earlier, Sandeep and Sompal Kami have played in this league. This league will start from the 20th of July. The Global T-20 League has started since 2018. Since the second edition in 2019, this competition could not be conducted.

Kathmandu - Three matches are being played today in Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League Football.

The first match at Dashrath Stadium will be contested between Himalayan Sherpa Club and Machhindra Football Club at 3 PM Today.
